Job summary

Roundhouse is seeking a Field Engineer to bridge field operations and project administration. You’ll support the Superintendent with daily on-site activities, coordinate labor, materials, and equipment, and help keep the project moving.

You’ll own technical and documentation tasks, review drawings, manage RFIs, track safety, and prepare daily reports. This role offers growth toward a Superintendent path in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in daily on-site construction activities and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment.
• Develop and communicate the project schedule, including four-week look-aheads and daily work plans.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades in the field to keep crews productive and on schedule.
• Conduct daily site walks, lead foremen huddles, and run coordination meetings when needed.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and as-built drawings.
