Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator with strong cost engineering skills in Mississippi. The role involves preparing cost estimates, researching labor and material costs, and assisting with design-build project OPCCs.

You will work with project teams to develop schedules, baselines, and WBS, while coordinating with procurement and field teams to ensure successful project delivery. Travel may be required for various project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience. Travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Prepares Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build project estimates.
• Develops schedules and baselines with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity durations.
• Coordinates with project controls and procurement to ensure accurate budgeting and procurement.
