Job summary

Central Confinement Services LLC seeks an Estimator to oversee all aspects of the estimating process for assigned construction projects, including preparation, implementation, and presentation of written proposals. The role manages budgets, bids, and material take-offs, coordinating with project teams to ensure timely, accurate cost assessments.

Responsibilities include reviewing documents, conducting site visits, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining cost databases.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of construction/project management experience.
• Strong budgeting and procurement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Project Manager, salesman, or client to understand project objectives and requirements.
• Assess contract documents, RFIs, specs, and proposals data accurately.
• Review drawings, conduct site visits, and gather data to determine scope of work and organize cost estimates.
• Ensure design documents meet objectives and are delivered on time within budget.
• Turn budgets and estimates into material books and purchase orders.
• Assist in preparing material takeoffs for transition to PM Team.
• Negotiate with vendors/sub-contractors to optimize costs.
• Develop budgets and estimates as needed through design process.
• Maintain budget files and supplier price information.
• Bid scope work and review information from suppliers and vendors.
• Determine project budget for internal and owner review.
• Maintain budget database for pricing.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements from proposals and drawings.
• Resolve discrepancies through data analysis.
• Coordinate with purchasing to convert quotes into executable items and maintain cost databases.
• Attend pre/post-construction meetings with sales, PMs, drafters, and operations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors/vendors.
• Continuously perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Attend conferences and training to maintain proficiency.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
