Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction, LLC is hiring an Estimator I to support cost estimates and bid proposals for structural projects. You will interpret drawings, review specs, conduct quantity takeoffs, and price subcontracts and vendors.

This role requires precision and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Under supervision of senior estimators or project managers, you will gather data, participate in pre-bid activities, and help develop cost summaries to maximize project profitability while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent with 1-3 years experience.
• Experience with construction cost estimating software and takeoff systems.
• Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specs, and materials.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate take-offs for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Provides cost estimates and bids for assigned projects.
• Gathers and compiles data for bid proposals.
• Attends pre-bid meetings and site visits for bid information.
• Solicits subcontractor bids and quotes to meet specs and budget.
• Reviews historical data to ensure bid accuracy.
• Audits proposals and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Contributes to profitability while maintaining safety and quality.
• Performs special projects and supports field operations as needed.
