Job summary

StructSure Projects is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support the Lead Estimators in preparing accurate, competitive estimates and proposals. You will help with buyout, risk review, and bid submission while coordinating with Project Managers through construction to closeout.

The role requires travel to job sites, strong communication, and the ability to read plans and specs. A construction-related degree and healthcare estimating exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction preferred.
• Design/Build Healthcare estimating experience is preferred.
• Competent with computer programs and on-screen takeoff software.
• Strong understanding of project scopes and pricing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite and scheduling software.
• Willing to travel for site visits and bid deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead estimators to develop estimates, budgets, quantity surveys and proposals accurately and competitively.
• Assist with project buyout and support Project Managers through construction to closeout.
• Attend pre-bid conferences and site visits.
• Assist with bid day processes and proposal submission details.
• Review bidding documents and consult with team members on risk and opportunities.
• Prepare estimates and assist in proposal composition and review.
• Use construction and estimating software to complete estimates and takeoffs.
• Review plans and specifications for accuracy.
• Create project schedules for bids and assist in pre-construction activities.
• Provide design review guidance to the Design Team during the design process.
• Cultivate subcontractor and supplier relationships and review scopes of work.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility managers and construction owners.
