Job summary

StructSure Projects, a growing general contractor, is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support Lead Estimators in creating competitive estimates and budgets. You’ll help with bids, buyout, and site visits, and you may travel to project locations.

A background check and valid driver’s license are required. Reporting to the Vice President, this role partners with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction preferred.
• Design/Build Healthcare estimating experience is preferred.
• Proficient with computer programs and on screen takeoff software.
• Develop a complete, accurate and competitive proposal by understanding the project.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead estimators to develop estimates, budgets, quantity surveys and proposals accurately and competitively.
• Assist with project buyout and assist the Project Managers through construction to project closeout.
• Attend pre-bid conferences and site visits.
• Assist with bid day processes and proposal submission details.
• Assist with risk and opportunity analysis by reviewing bidding documents and consulting with the team.
• Assist in preparing estimates and provide help in completion of proposal.
