Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced construction estimator to prepare budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for high-end commercial projects in California. This role places you at the heart of our preconstruction team, driving pricing strategies and ensuring accurate cost projections.

You will conduct quantity takeoffs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and build strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to win work under the CM at Risk model.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction estimator or preconstruction experience.
• BS in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with commercial construction and preconstruction software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for CM at Risk projects.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and manage multiple projects.
• Develop cost strategies and maintain client/subcontractor relationships.

As an estimator on our team, you will be responsible for preparing budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for construction projects under the CM at Risk guaranteed maximum pricing model. Key duties include conducting quantity takeoffs, managing multiple projects, developing cost strategies, and fostering relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

Job Details

MUST HAVE:

• BS in a related field OR equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of construction estimator or preconstruction experience
• Commercial construction
• Precon software, one or more: MC2, OST, Constructware, Bluebeam, Destini, Timerline, BIM360, etc.
