Job summary

The ESH Coordinator at Layton Construction will actively support project teams to ensure effective environmental, safety, and health standards are applied at the site level. You will lead safety communications, assist in accident investigations, and help enforce Layton's safety policies on active sites across Pennsylvania.

On supporting field operations, you will coordinate training, manage safety programs, and collaborate with Human Resources to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred in safety, construction management, or related field.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
• Demonstrates good interpersonal relations and effective communication skills.
• Understands English commands, questions, and safety instructions.
• Committed to continuous learning and growth in ESH competencies.

Responsibilities

• Champions the Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal, external teams, and customers.
• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton standards and policies.
• Assists ESH Manager with accident investigations and collects initial data.
• Monitors workers' compensation issues and reports timely information.
• Coordinates site safety orientations and pre-construction safety meetings.
• Provides safety training to employees and subcontractors at site level.
