Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an ESH Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. The role emphasizes enforcing OSHA standards, incident investigations, and safety training to maintain a safe work environment across projects.

The position requires OSHA-30 and STS training, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with at least one year of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction AND Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
• Demonstrates good interpersonal relations and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton Construction standards.
• Assist ESH Manager to investigate accidents and collect initial data.
• Monitor workers' compensation issues and report timely information.
• Conduct site-specific safety orientations for project teams.
• Participate in pre-construction safety meetings and raise safety needs.
• Assist with injury management to ensure cost-effective medical care.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys for gases, noise, and fit tests.
• Provide safety training to employees and sub-contractors on site.
• Support VP-Field Operations and HR to ensure compliance with OSHA laws.

Education
