Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an ESH Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. You will monitor conditions, investigate incidents, and assist in safety orientations and meetings to protect workers.

The role requires at least one year in construction safety, completion of OSHA 30-hour training for construction and STS, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with at least one year of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
• Demonstrates good interpersonal relations and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton Construction standards and policies.
• Assist ESH Manager to investigate accidents and collect initial data.
• Monitors workers' compensation issues and reports information to the ESH Manager.
• Conducts site safety orientations and participates in pre-construction safety meetings.
• Supports injury management and coordinates with project teams for safe medical care.
• Conducts industrial hygiene surveys and tests as needed.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors at site level.
• Support VP-Field Operations and HR to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation law.
• Participate in monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.
