Job summary

Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Coordinator to provide support to projects by tracking and moving equipment across sites, coordinating with trucking and maintenance, and maintaining accurate schedules.

The role requires knowledge of construction equipment, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. Some travel may be required while ensuring utilization and cost control across Kokosing’s projects.

Qualifications

High school diploma is required and 5 years of construction or equipment rental experience.
Knowledge of construction equipment and their capabilities.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Process requests for equipment for projects using reports, jobsite visits or project representatives.
Coordinate equipment movements between projects to optimize utilization and reduce outside rentals.
Search for alternative methods to fill equipment needs (new technology, different methods).
Work with Trucking, Maintenance, and project teams to schedule timely equipment moves.
Attend Weekly Scheduling Meetings and internal Preconstruction Meetings for equipment-related projects.
Update and maintain Equipment Schedules for all projects.
Monitor equipment utilization and reduce outside rental usage.
Notify management of shortages or excess equipment.
Serve as liaison between field supervision and maintenance for equipment.
Monitor repair costs and potential capitalization of equipment assets.
Track equipment usage weekly against revenue and meter hours for accurate invoicing.
Collaborate with department to fulfill equipment/material needs efficiently.
Maintain status of Available/Temporary Available/Down equipment to improve utilization.
Keep locator information current in the system.
