Granite Construction Company is seeking interns and entry‑level professionals to support construction engineering operations. You will interpret drawings for bids, prepare documentation, and assist with change orders and estimates in a hands-on setting.

You should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have strong MS Office skills, basic trig proficiency, and good communication. This role emphasizes safety and teamwork on active projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar.
• Proficiency with MS Office; basic trigonometry calculations; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design/drawings for takeoff and workforce for bidding and building construction projects.
• Prepare and distribute required documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material calculations.
• Provide technical support regarding project materials meeting specifications, delivery dates and schedules.
• Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing drawings to support estimating and construction work.
• Develop job data including quantity take-offs and material pricing for accurate estimates and bids.
• Maintain records of quantities for work performed and materials installed for cost controls.
