The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks an experienced Construction Engineer to support transportation projects through construction project delivery, field engineering, documentation, contractor coordination, and review of work performed in accordance with DOTD standards and specifications.

No prior licensed engineering experience is required — training is provided, with opportunities for career progression.

Formación

• Current Louisiana professional engineering license required.
• No prior licensed engineering experience required; training provided.
• Out-of-state licenses may qualify after obtaining Louisiana license.

Responsabilidades

• Performs engineering work related to construction project delivery, field engineering, or construction oversight.
• Reviews plans, specifications, estimates, construction documentation, and project records.
• Monitors contractor work for compliance with DOTD standards and contract requirements.
• Coordinates with contractors, project engineers, inspectors, consultants, and internal DOTD staff.
• Reviews quantities, documentation, payments, and project-related materials as assigned.
• Supports construction certification, eConstruction, fabrication, field documentation, or final audit activities.
• Assists with resolving construction-related issues or project delivery concerns.
• Supports emergency or disaster response activities as needed.
