Qualifications

• Current Louisiana licensed professional engineer required.
• Experience: two years licensed engineering or six years professional engineering experience.
• Engineering licensure substitutions apply for advanced degrees.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates construction inspection, contract administration, sampling, testing, surveying, and documentation for assigned construction projects.
• Supervises and trains engineers and technicians on construction projects.
• Reviews and approves construction documentation, quantities, daily diaries, test reports, estimates, and other project records.
• Coordinates with contractors, consultants, utilities, public officials, and internal DOTD staff to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Reviews project schedules, plan changes, construction problems, erosion control plans, utility relocations, change orders, and contract compliance.
• Ensures work complies with plans, specifications, provisions, and applicable federal and state requirements.
