Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction EIT in the United States (KS/Overland Park region) to support project execution and field activities. You will learn under senior staff, read drawings, and assist with RFIs, submittals, and testing while traveling to active sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, QA/QC procedures, and documenting daily logs and client communications. Bachelor's plus EIT are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required.
• Proven MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and work under supervision from Resident Engineers, Project Managers, Sr. Construction Inspectors, and Resident Project Representatives.
• Assist the Construction Manager with project execution.
• Receive, issue and track RFIs, submittals and other required data.
• Support other project efforts including estimating, procurement, and project controls.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Monitor and inspect progress on construction projects.
• Coordinate field materials sampling and testing and document results.
• Travel to site-based locations as required by HDR needs.
