Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction EIT to support project execution on civil infrastructure projects. You will work under supervision from Resident Engineers and Project Managers, handling RFIs, submittals and field coordination.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, tracking progress, safety plan support, and field testing. You’ll travel to site locations, document activities with logs and photos, and assist with procurement and project controls as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Learn under supervision from Resident Engineers, PMs and inspectors.
• Assist with all facets of project execution.
• Receive, issue and track RFIs, submittals and other data.
• Support estimating, procurement and project controls when not on site.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Monitor progress and maintain daily logs and photos for clients.
• Coordinate field sampling and testing (concrete slump, soil compaction).
• Develop Site-Specific Safety Plans and follow safety protocols.
• Travel to site locations as reasonably required.
