Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Construction Safety) to lead on-site EHS management for a fast-paced spaceport infrastructure project near Brownsville, TX. The role requires hands-on safety expertise across OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH guidelines and regulatory compliance.

You will develop and enforce EHS programs, conduct hazard assessments, provide training, investigate incidents, and ensure safe construction practices on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1+ years designing and overseeing EHS programs in construction.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience applying OSHA, NFPA and NIOSH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day EHS site management for a fast-paced construction project.
• Implement, enforce, and audit EHS management programs for contractors.
• Develop hazard identifications, PPE requirements, and safety policies.
• Monitor employee exposure to hazards and respond to incidents.
• Educate and train construction personnel on safety practices.
• Investigate incidents and write root-cause reports with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT and other regulations.
• Allocate resources to safety-related items and activities.
