Job summary

Austin Commercial, a leading construction firm, is hiring a Document Control Administrator for a multi-billion dollar project in North Texas. The role focuses on managing all project documents through pursuit, preconstruction, and construction phases, with responsibility for training employees in document control procedures.

The candidate will develop file systems, oversee document flow to owners, designers, and subcontractors, and ensure accurate, timely distribution of information across

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years’ progressive document control experience on commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level.
• Experience with project management software (Newforma, Aconex, etc.) preferred.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in work product and high-volume output.
• Strong organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers all record keeping, including written and electronic correspondence and safety/quality reports.
• Manages document distribution to owners, designers, suppliers, subcontractors and sub-consultants.
• Inserts RFIs and document revisions into contract documents and distributes updates to the internal team.
• Produces page logs, distributes bid packages, and files RFIs/answers as addenda to bidders.
• Distributes award notifications and trains staff on document control procedures.
