Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Construction Design Engineer to plan, design, and construct facilities supporting Space Domain Awareness radar systems. The role involves heavy site development, mechanical/electrical/plumbing considerations, and collaboration across engineering disciplines.
The candidate should have a background in Construction Engineering, experience with UFC, and strong CAD skills. Travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS is expected, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; 2 years of relevant experience, or 0 years with a Master's.
- Experience with A&E design, site development, and UFC guidelines.
- Proficient with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Derive and allocate site facility and construction requirements.
- Review AE&C subcontracts and large drawing packages.
- Support earned value, cost, and schedule management.
- Brief program leadership on project status and risk.
- Collaborate with systems engineering on radar system interfaces.
