Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Construction Design Engineer to join our diverse and talented engineering organization responsible for planning, design, and construction of facilities that will support a new ground based radar performing Space Domain Awareness (SDA) missions.
The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for the facility supporting the radar system, including roads, duct banks, antenna foundations, large cooling systems, water management, and
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required at time of application.
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years with a Master's.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite.
- Experienced with Architecture & Engineering (A&E) design process.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and reviewing A&E drawing packages.
- Experience with site design, development, and construction.
- Experience with UFC principles and codes.
Responsibilities
- Derive and allocate site facility and construction requirements.
- Support AE&C subcontracts management.
- Review and redline large drawing packages for 30/60/90% design reviews.
- Support earned value, cost, and schedule management.
- Brief program leadership on project status and risk.
- Collaborate with systems engineering on radar system interfaces.
