Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Radar Integrated Product Team (IPT) for a new ground-based radar supporting Space Domain Awareness. You will help design and develop RF/analog subsystems, manage subcontractors, and drive integration through design reviews and testing.

The role requires active security clearance (Secret with SCI), strong Systems Engineering foundations, and the ability to travel up to 25% internationally and

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain, with SCI
• U.S. Government Top Secret clearance preferred
• Principal: 5 years with a Bachelors in Science, 3 years with a Masters in Science
• Sr Principal: 8 years with a Bachelors in Science, 6 years with a Masters in Science
• Experience with RF test equipment and measurement
• Experience with reading and developing engineering drawings and BOMs
• Experience with subcontractor management and procurement

Responsibilities

• Define Radar IPT hardware architecture.
• Develop component specifications and procurement requirements.
• Manage major subcontractors and drafting teams.
• Develop Statements of Work for hardware and integration.
• Perform compliance analysis on key performance parameters.
• Work in RF lab to characterize equipment.
• Document BOM and assembly drawings with engineering teams.
• Develop integration plans and procedures for hardware.
• Support assembly, integration and checkout of hardware.
• Support design trade studies and obsolescence review.
• Occasionally present to engineering leadership.
