Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Construction Design Engineer to plan, design, and construct facilities for a new ground-based radar supporting Space Domain Awareness missions.

The role requires a Construction Engineer with site development experience and the ability to work in a large team, coordinating with all engineering disciplines and program management. Travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS is required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience with Architecture & Engineering (A&E) design process.
• Ability to read and review A&E drawing packages.
• Site design, development, and construction experience.
• Knowledge of UFC and codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Derive and allocate site facility and construction requirements.
• Support AE&C subcontracts management.
• Review large drawing packages for design reviews (30/60/90%).
• Support earned value, cost, and schedule management.
• Brief leadership on project status and risk.
• Collaborate with systems engineering on radar interfaces.
