Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Colorado Springs seeks a Principal or Sr Principal Electrical Engineer to lead Radar IPT hardware design for a ground-based radar for Space Domain Awareness. You will work across SRR/PDR/CDR milestones, perform RF analyses, develop BOMs, and coordinate with subcontractors in a rigorous, lab-based environment.

The role requires active Secret clearance, 5+ years (B.S.) or 8+ years (B.S.) of experience for Principal/Sr Principal, and willingness to travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain
• Experience with RF systems design, development and testing
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
• Experience with RF test equipment (noise figure, phase noise)
• Familiar with engineering drawings and electronic BOMs
• Experience with subcontractor management and technical statements of work

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively define radar hardware architecture and interfaces
• Develop component specifications and procurement requirements
• Manage major subcontractors and external partners
• Develop statements of works and test plans
• Support RF lab characterization and measurements
• Document BOMs and assembly drawings
• Support integration, assembly and checkout of radar hardware
• Present to engineering leadership when required
