Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Construction Crew Lead to assist the Crew Foreman in building quality projects across Minnesota. This role supports a positive construction experience for customers and offers potential for career advancement.

You will read and build from plans, supervise tasks, train crew members, and help maintain safety standards. A Class A CDL is required or must be obtained within 6 months; 3+ years in building construction and willingness to travel up to 25% are also

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in building construction is required.
• Class A CDL license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Desire to obtain OSHA 10-hour, Equipment Operation and Competent Person Certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and provide leadership.
• Participate in and lead formal training programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Keep safety procedures and standards in construction at all times.
• Read, understand and build from construction plans.
• Lead crew in tasks such as digging footings, framing, and installing doors/windows.
• Provide leadership and coordinate team to complete projects profitably.
• Assist in training crew members and new hires.
• Maintain a positive, respectful work environment and customer experience.
• Ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
