Job summary

GSA is seeking a Construction Control Representative (Cost Estimator) to provide guidance and analysis on Architect/Engineering and Construction costs for agency projects in Chicago and nationwide.

You will prepare cost estimates, review A/E estimates, and support project teams with budget considerations across new construction, modernization, and lease-construction programs, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Detailed cost estimates for new construction, modernization, renovation and lease-construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimating software and data gathering to support proposals.
• Ensure cost estimates are consistent across diverse project types and adhere to guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates with bid-level detail for various construction projects.
• Review and approve A/E cost estimates, price proposals and detailed estimates.
• Develop quantity takeoffs using automated tools and agency resources.
• Assist in contract lifecycle coordination with Contract Specialists and project teams.
