Job summary

Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Clerk to support time and materials processing on the Manhattan Tunnel Project in New York, NY. You will collect T/M tickets, verify accuracy, and coordinate with field, project, and accounting teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of accounting support experience, familiarity with accounts payable and payroll, and proficiency in MS Office; CMiC/Viewpoint/JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• 2–4 years of administrative or accounting support experience, ideally in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Time and Material (T/M) processes and job cost tracking.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and payroll functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CMiC/Viewpoint/JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage Time and Material tickets from field personnel.
• Verify accuracy of T/M tickets and ensure proper signing, scanning, and filing.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and accounting staff for timely T/M processing.
• Assist with invoice tracking, coding, and processing; match vendor invoices with T/M docs and POs.
• Maintain organized filing systems for T/M tickets and AP records; support general office tasks.
• Aid in gathering environmental compliance data as required by the project or client.
