Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Construction Coordinator in Madison, AL to perform field coordination on small to moderate industrial projects under general supervision. The role emphasizes safety, permitting, scheduling, and daily field oversight.

You will collaborate with the site EHS team, Project Managers, and Contractors to ensure permits, progress reporting, and quality alignment with design intent. Some night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work outdoors and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on assigned projects and set safety and environmental expectations for contractors, holding them accountable.
• Secure safe work permits for contractors in cooperation with the site EHS organization and monitor permit compliance.
• Maintain an active field presence during construction activity and site turnarounds.
• Promote a culture of safety by coaching field contractors on best practices in collaboration with the site EHS team.
• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and report risks to the site Construction Manager.
• Communicate construction status effectively with site Project Managers and stakeholders.
