Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Controller to lead financial operations in the Construction industry in Austin, TX. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financials, ensuring compliance and strong internal controls while driving strategic finance initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in senior finance, expertise in lease accounting and WIP, and solid leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably in construction.
• Experience with Lease Accounting, WIP Reporting, Tax Compliance, Financial Analysis, and Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all financial and accounting operations and designing an organizational structure to meet goals.
• Directing the budget preparation, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Managing local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.
• Documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Managing all aspects of lease accounting and WIP reporting.
• Conducting financial analysis to aid business decisions.
• Providing strategic financial input on organizational decisions.
