Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Controller in the United States with a strong background in WIP reporting and multi-entity financial leadership. You will own monthly close, oversee ledger activity, and partner with project teams to ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition across jurisdictions.

The role requires at least 7+ years in accounting with 3+ years in leadership, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems. CPA is a plus; relocation may be available.

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
At least 3 years of leadership experience.
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with WIP reporting in construction is required.
Strong Excel capabilities and ERP familiarity.
CPA is a plus; union experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own recurring financial reporting and support tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including ledger maintenance, collections, and payments.
Partner cross-functionally to track project-based financials and revenue recognition.
Lead the full close process with governance and accuracy.
Serve as audit contact and document control point.
Manage and mentor a small accounting team.
Ensure payroll accuracy and reporting; contribute to budgeting/forecasting.
