Job summary

The Construction Control Representative serves as a vital member of the Engineering Service at the VA Medical Center and all associated sites of care or services and has support/quality responsibilities for the design, construction, and activation program. Qualifications

• Engineering aid or technician performing work directly related to construction.
• Construction inspector responsible for interpreting plans and inspecting workmanship.
• Supervisor of crafts persons or mechanics engaged in construction work with plan interpretation responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction coordination, documentation, and inspection duties for the Medical Center's design and construction program.
• Acts as alternate Contracting Office Representative under Project Managers/General Engineers.
• Provides oversight and inspection of construction operations.
• Confers with employees on problems of control, inspection, administration, and safety and makes decisions for addressing issues.
