Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Port Authority of NY and NJ. You will process contractor payment applications, assist with stage IV contract closeout, and coordinate with Resident Engineer offices and internal departments throughout NY and NJ.

This is an on-site role at the Port Authority Technical Center, requiring strong communication, analytical skills, and proficiency with SAP and AVM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in office engineering, contract administration, or related admin role with construction contract administration experience.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred for engineering-related fields.
• Experience using SAP and AVM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to pass a SWAC or TWIC high-level background check.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and process contractor payment applications and supporting documentation, including change orders and related records.
• Collaborate with Resident Engineer offices and internal departments to facilitate accurate and timely payment processing.
• Coordinate and assist with the preparation and processing of construction contract closeout documentation.
• Maintain accurate contract records and ensure compliance with agency procedures and contractual requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve payment and contract administration issues.
