Job summary

Techno is seeking a Business Analyst to support a Port Authority project. This onsite role in Jersey City handles contractor payments, project closeouts, and coordination with NY/NJ agencies. Requires 5+ years in contract administration and SAP/AVM experience.

On-site at Port Authority Technical Center, NJ, with strong emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and stakeholder communication. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in office engineering, contract administration, or related admin role.
• Associate Degree in Business or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience using SAP and AVM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Pass SWAC or TWIC high-level background check.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and process contractor payment applications and supporting documentation, including change orders, contract conversions, field items, desk audits, and related records.
• Collaborate with Resident Engineer offices and internal departments—including Comptroller, Procurement, and other agency divisions to facilitate accurate and timely payment processing.
• Coordinate and assist with the preparation and processing of construction contract closeout documentation, including Completion of Work Memorandums, Certificates of Final Completion, Certificates of Total Compensation, and other required closeout documents.
• Maintain accurate contract records and ensure compliance with agency procedures and contractual requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve payment and contract administration issues.
