Job summary

Sompo seeks a Claims Specialist, Construction to join our Casualty Claims team in Dallas, TX. You will handle construction-related general liability claims, analyze coverage, and work with underwriters and counsel to manage losses and settlements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an insurance technical claims position or law firm focused on construction-related files.
• Adjuster license required; JD preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct handling and management of primary and excess General Liability claims for Construction-related insureds.
• Provide coverage analysis and establish appropriate reserves.
• Communicate responses to management and underwriters on new losses; provide written assessments on trends and high exposure cases.
• Manage counsel; develop strategy to control expenses and resolve litigated claims.
