• Review and approve subcontractor documents and perform audits.
• Onboard new subcontractors and assist with certified payroll submissions.
• Run monthly reports for labor hours tracking.
• Notify management of significant delays in reporting.
• Upload certified payroll to the DIR website as required.

Construction Certified Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collecting and recording weekly certified payroll reports from the home office for employees and from subcontractors working on heavy/civil construction projects.
• Reviewing and approving subcontractor documents including certified payroll, apprentice records, monthly employment utilization reports and union benefit reports. Performing periodic audits and a final audit of all CPR and labor compliance documents when subcontractors report final CPR.
• Onboarding new subcontractors and ensuring they understand the steps to complete their certified payroll submittals, which include numerous one‑time documents. This includes emails and phone calls with subcontractors who have varying levels of computer skills.
• Running monthly reports and submitting them to management for tracking of labor hours on the project.
• Notifying management when a subcontractor is significantly behind in reporting.
• Uploading JV certified payroll to the DIR website and tracking subcontractors that have met this state requirement, when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
