Job summary

Foth is seeking a Construction Buyer to source, negotiate, and procure materials and services for complex projects. The role partners with PMs, estimators, and suppliers to secure the right total solution while protecting schedule and quality. Hybrid/remote options are available for a highly qualified candidate.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years in construction procurement, with ERP experience and strong Excel skills leveraged for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in purchasing/procurement for construction/industrial projects.
• Experience reading construction drawings and specs.
• Experience negotiating pricing, delivery, and terms with suppliers.
• ERP/procurement systems experience with strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs to translate needs into purchasing requirements.
• Source suppliers, request quotes, and select best-fit options.
• Lead negotiations to optimize cost, lead time, and quality.
• Prepare purchase orders and procurement packages per policy.
• Maintain supplier qualification docs and onboarding.
• Track lead times and delivery schedules to align with timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers to forecast procurement needs.
