Job summary

Foth is a 100% member-owned science and engineering consulting firm seeking a Construction Buyer to source, negotiate, and procure materials for large projects. You will partner with project managers, estimators, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance.

Role offers onsite in De Pere, WI, with hybrid or remote options for qualified candidates. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree related to supply chain and 5+ years in procurement for construction/industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain for construction or industrial projects.
• Experience reading construction drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Experience negotiating pricing, delivery, and commercial terms with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, schedules, and takes to translate project needs into purchasing requirements.
• Source qualified suppliers and evaluate quotes to select best-fit options.
• Lead negotiations to optimize cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
• Prepare purchase orders and procurement packages per policy and legal requirements.
• Maintain supplier qualification docs and onboarding/evaluation activities.
• Monitor lead times and delivery schedules to align with project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and leaders to forecast procurement needs and priorities.
• Document changes in scope and pricing and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement records and pricing/history.
