Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market, cultivate relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, and drive proposals that convert to testing and inspection work.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing; travel locally; base salary 85k-115k plus commission on collected revenue; pipeline management and CRM usage with monthly reporting. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own those relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to proposal and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
