Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market, focusing on relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in Texas. You will work with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical sealing, while you manage the pipeline, proposals, negotiations, and the signed agreements.

Your weekly routine includes client visits, pre-bid meetings, proposal reviews with the pricing engineer, and timely follow-up to move deals forward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to pursue work before award.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry events and report pipeline and results monthly.
