Job summary

Deacon Construction seeks a motivated Business Development Manager for our Seattle office. This role focuses on opening doors, building lasting client relationships, and winning meaningful work across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Preconstruction, and Marketing to develop and execute our sales strategy. With 5+ years in BD or client relations in commercial construction, you’ll lead deal-making, nurture owners, developers, brokers, and design teams, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development or client relations in commercial construction.
• Strong network in Pacific Northwest development, ownership, brokerage, and design communities.
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder with ownership groups and executives.
• CRM proficiency, especially Microsoft Dynamics.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and grow relationships with owners, developers, brokers, and design teams across the Pacific Northwest.
• Drive new business opportunities aligned with targeted market sectors and growth goals.
• Lead pursuit strategies, RFQ/RFP responses, and presentations with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain client engagement through all project stages from early talks to closeout.
• Represent Deacon at industry events to expand the network.
