Job summary

We Are RAM Construction Ltd is seeking a professional bookkeeper to manage the company’s financial records. The role requires handling ledgers, VAT, CIS, and PAYE, with proficiency in Xero and Hubdoc. The candidate will support management through accurate reporting and timely payments.

The successful applicant will work on site, collaborate with the Project Manager, and ensure payroll accuracy using RTI tools. Strong organizational and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping knowledge with ability to balance accounts.
• Experience handling VAT, CIS, and PAYE returns.
• Proficient with Excel and IT tasks.
• Familiar with Xero Accounting and Hubdoc for ledgers.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales ledgers, payments, invoices (incl. CIS), income and receipts using Xero and Hubdoc.
• Handle vendor invoices and statements; ensure timely payments.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to update job valuations for invoicing.
• Manage Director and employee expense claims.
• Prepare employee wages using RTI tools.
• Correct inconsistencies for accurate reporting.
• Review and verify accuracy of business accounts.
• Complete VAT, CIS, and PAYE returns.
• Maintain and reconcile bank balances and corporate cards.
