Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a Stafford accountancy practice. The role combines bookkeeping with accounts duties across a range of clients, offering variety and client contact.

You should have strong Xero experience, VAT and management accounts, and be able to work independently in a small team. The firm offers a friendly environment with office-based work three days per week, and a clear path to professional development with opportunities to build

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
• Excellent experience using Xero; qualification advantageous or QBE considered.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for a range of clients.
• Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts.
• Bank reconciliations and general ledger work.
• Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting queries.
