LHH Recruitment Solutions in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage high-volume accounts payable and union payroll processing within a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, expertise in prevailing wage and union payroll, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate project costing and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable and Payroll experience.
• Construction industry accounting experience.
• Union payroll and prevailing wage experience.
• Strong understanding of job costing and cost accounting.
• Experience with account reconciliations.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and match invoices to purchase orders and project costs.
• Manage subcontractor payables and vendor relationships.
• Ensure accurate coding and job cost allocations.
• Reconcile vendor statements, bank accounts, and credit card transactions.
• Support month-end reconciliations and accounting activities.
• Process weekly payroll for union field employees.
• Administer prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements.
• Reconcile union reports and deductions.
• Support labor cost reporting and project tracking.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements and regulatory requirements.
