Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping/accounting in a construction/landscape setting preferred.
• Experience with Sage50, QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong Excel and Office skills; high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing and managing weekly payroll
• Bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate accounting records
• Preparing monthly financial statements
• Job costing and project accounting
• Tracking labor and material costs by project
• Monitoring job profitability
• Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
• Processing and tracking change orders
• Managing and reconciling customer deposits
• Vendor management and vendor account reconciliation
• Sales-tax reporting and compliance
• Budget-versus-actual reporting
• Preparing financial reports and information for company ownership
• Working directly with CPA and providing requested financial information
• Assisting with year-end accounting and tax preparation
• Identifying accounting discrepancies and correcting errors
• Maintaining organized and accurate financial documentation
• Supporting management with financial information and reporting as needed
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
