Job summary

FDR Construction is seeking a motivated Construction Bookkeeper to join our accounting team in Vista, CA. This entry-level role focuses on heavy data entry, tagging costs in QuickBooks, and tracking project costs within Procore.

You will partner with project managers to ensure accurate costing, billing, and profitability across jobs. Responsibilities include data entry, Procore support, AP workflows, bank reconciliations, and month-end filing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business or 1–2 years of relevant office experience.
• Basic QuickBooks data entry and navigation.
• Familiarity with Procore is a plus; willingness to train.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to track lists and totals.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry: enter subcontractor invoices and material receipts to proper project and cost code.
• Procore Assistance: upload contracts and change orders; flag sync errors with QuickBooks.
• Accounts Payable Support: assist with weekly check runs and PO vs invoice confirmation.
• Administrative Support: maintain digital project folders; assist with bank reconciliations and month-end filing.
• Job Costing & Budgeting: assist PMs in establishing budgets and tracking expenditures by code.
• Progress Billing & AR: prepare monthly progress billings using percentage-of-completion.
• Audit Support: maintain records for internal/year-end audits; reconcile GL accounts.
• Whip Schedule Support: assist CPA with monthly financial review items.
