Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. on the South Shore seeks a strong Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting, including AP/AR, job costing, and general ledger maintenance.

You will help manage project financials and ensure compliance with federal and FAA requirements. This role involves collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate billing and effective financial controls across our mid-sized, family-owned operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or construction accounting experience.
• Experience with construction job costing.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements.
• Familiarity with AP/AR and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closings.
• Prepare financial reports for management review.
• Support overall accounting processes and internal financial controls.
• Process and track change orders, including cost impacts.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project financial records.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, federal, and state requirements.
• Assist with audits and payroll reviews.
