McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified and dedicated full-time Accounting Specialist to support our construction equipment and materials yard and office team.

The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, deliver excellent customer service, manage multiple priorities, and show strong attention to detail. The role includes full-cycle AP/AR, cost report support, vendor and customer coordination, CMIC invoice processing, and month-end tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting or billing administrative experience.
• Knowledge of AP/AR processes and procedures.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill full-cycle A/P and A/R (tracking invoice approvals, matching invoices to POs, submit billings and tracking payments).
• Assist Project staff with accounting and maintenance of cost reports.
• Coordinate and communicate with Vendors/ Customers as needed.
• Set up vendor accounts for the Yard and Jobsites as required.
• Process vendor invoices daily in CMIC and reconcile as needed.
• Process monthly vendor statements and reconcile as needed.
• Track and maintain supplier records/requirements.
• Conduct account analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Collaborate with internal team and customers to resolve billing or payment-related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of account transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, following company policies and procedures.
