Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Houston to support planning, scheduling, and administration of construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.

In this role you will review contracts, help with scheduling, safety and quality plans, monitor costs, coordinate meetings, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction, design, finance, or project management experience.
• 2+ years working for a commercial electrical contractor.
• Proficiency with Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and AIA Contract Documents.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review owner contracts and ensure compliance.
• Assist with project scheduling, safety, quality control, and site logistics plans.
• Support contract buyout activities.
• Monitor project costs and schedule updates.
• Participate in project planning meetings and identify project risks.
• Coordinate punch list activities, owner training, O&M manuals, and warranties.
• Assist in preparing monthly project status reports and executive summaries.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
