Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to support mission-critical projects in Houston. The role involves evaluating information, coordinating approvals, and supporting project delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, pre-construction RFPs, coordinating meetings, and maintaining schedules and documentation while collaborating with the site operations team and project superintendent throughout the

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction is expected.
• Experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems (Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• File required documentation.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for assigned projects.
• Prepare pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in conducting project meetings, setting milestones and owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications).
• Update project schedule and ensure quality control and logistics.
• Assist in closeout processes.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
