Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager to work with the Superintendent/Project Manager on safety, budgets, contracts, and schedules for projects generally under $5 million. The role includes coordination with trade contractors and supplier teams to ensure timely, quality results and a strong safety culture.

Required are a construction-related degree or equivalent experience, plus proficiency with Procore, MS Office, and scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering or an associated degree with relevant experience.
• 2+ years of related project management experience, preferably with a commercial contractor.
• Knowledge of shop drawing submittal processes, building plans and specs, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam and Prolog.
• Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules; update master construction schedule with leadership.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders; maintain project logs.
• Manage material procurement, submittal approvals, fabrication and delivery status.
• Support early project close-out and final acceptance with owner, and participate in meetings to document progress.
