Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations under the guidance of the Superintendent or Project Manager. The role focuses on safety, schedule, and trade contractor coordination on projects typically under $5 million, in a collaborative environment that emphasizes mentorship and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a construction management background, strong scheduling and cost-control skills, and proficiency with Procore, MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience; or 7+ years with high school diploma equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong understanding of plans, specs and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations with Superintendent/PM; ensure safety and quality.
• Manage on-site construction activities and trade contractor coordination.
• Maintain updated drawings and project records; enforce schedule adherence.
• Procure tools, equipment, and materials; train crew on tools/processes.
• Lead safety meetings; monitor compliance with IIF culture and OSHA guidelines.
• Review cost codes, budgets and production units for project portions.
• Assist in pre-construction and constructability reviews; support scheduling.
• Develop punch list and close-out procedures with stakeholders.
